SCUFFERS x GORDON VON STEINER marks the brand’s first-ever clothing collaboration. Rather than partnering with another fashion label, Scuffers chose to work directly with an image-maker who has helped shape its aesthetic universe for years.
The project was personally initiated by Scuffers Creative Director Jimbo following an initial meeting with Gordon in Los Angeles in 2024. Von Steiner’s portfolio across film and photography spans defining projects for houses like Chanel, Calvin Klein, Louis Vuitton, Versace, and Dolce & Gabbana, alongside editorial features for Vogue, Vogue Italia, and Vanity Fair, working with figures such as Dua Lipa, Kendall Jenner, Troye Sivan, and Irina Shayk.
At the heart of the project is Gordon’s take on friendship without self-consciousness, exploring male intimacy and the beautiful chaos that exists within it. A group of boys moves through days of boredom, adventure, recklessness, and affection, shifting instinctively between pure tenderness and complete stupidity.
The campaign discards traditional narratives in favor of unfiltered fragments from an unforgettable week: dancing, wrestling, swimming, driving nowhere, getting into trouble, staying out late, and falling asleep beside the people who shared it all.
The garments live directly inside that world. Grounded in functional silhouettes made to be worn hard and lived in, the pieces reflect the strange beauty of having nowhere else to be.
